1 / Where are you located? Do you have a physical store?
We are an online-based business that services the DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area with our production taking place in Northeast Washington DC.
We do not have a physical storefront at the moment as we operate exclusively online for now.
2 / What products do you offer?
We offer made-to-order mini desserts, minimalist buttercream cakes, packaging/supplies, recipe cards, eBooks, and pre-recorded tutorials.
3 / Do you ship cakes or desserts?
At this time, we do not offer shipping for our cakes or desserts. Our services are currently limited to customers located in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. However, we do offer shipping for our baking supplies.
4 / How far in advance should I place my order?
We recommend placing orders at least 7-10 days in advance to ensure availability. For large or event-based orders, such as weddings or corporate events, we kindly ask that you place your order at least 3–4 weeks ahead of time to allow for adequate planning and preparation. The earlier you place your order, the better—we'll be more likely to accommodate your request and secure your preferred date.
5 / My event is this week. Can you squeeze me in?!
​We cannot guarantee that last-minute or rush order requests can be accommodated but we are happy to do our best to squeeze you in if at all possible.
A rush order is defined as any order placed within 7 days or less of your desired event/order date. If we are able to accommodate a rush order, a 20% service charge will be applied to your order balance. If you have any questions regarding a rush order, please email us at info@createdbyctb.com.
6 / Can I pick up my order or do you deliver?
Yes! Pick-up/order collection is available from either Northeast, Washington DC or Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The exact pick-up location will be determined when confirming details for your order.
For large or event-based orders, delivery is preferred. Delivery charges are based on venue/event location.
7 / Do you offer allergen-friendly desserts (gluten-free, vegan, nut-free, etc.)?
At this time, we do not offer vegan or allergen-friendly cakes. However, we do offer French macarons, which are naturally gluten-free but do contain nuts, as they are made with almond flour. Please note that our kitchen is not allergen-free, so we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contact with allergens. We recommend that individuals with severe allergies use their discretion when placing an order.
